Energy Committee
Committee Events
For the wheels of industry to move, a robust energy sector is a precondition. Without steady supply of quality power at lowest possible tariffs, the industry cannot grow and prosper. Being a natural monopoly, the consumers in this sector require the protection of a strong, independent and fair regulatory authority to protect their interests. With increasing number of private players emerging in the energy sector, the protection of consumer interest becomes even more crucial. It is with main objective of protecting the interests of the industry that the Energy Working Committee has been established in the GCCI. The Energy Committee was last reconstituted on 16th July 2011 under the chairmanship of Shri Jyotindra N. Patel. Shri Shankerbhai Patel, Vice President is the GCCI office-bearer in charge.
