Members of Mahajan Sankalan (Local), Mahajan Sankalan (Outstation), Trade and S.M.A.R.T Committee of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with District Udyog Kendra, Ahmedabad organized an  informative session about the 'E-Shram Card' scheme for registration of unorganized workers introduced by Central Government. The scheme covers a total of 385 occupations including salaried laborers, self-employed businessmen, domestic workers, retail laborers, hawkers, lorry owners, rickshaw pullers etc.

Gujarat Chamber has started an initiative to register about 150,000 e-Shramik cards across Gujarat with the help of the various Mahajans, Associations and  Industrial Estates.

During the program, Mrs. Paulomi Parmar, Project Manager, District Industries Center, Ahmedabad gave in-depth information about the scheme to the members through a presentation and answered the queries of the members.

Members of Associations and Mahajans have shown readiness to set up a camp in their office / industrial area for this scheme in Ahmedabad as well as all over Gujarat and assured that their workers easily get  e- shram card and GCCI & DIC will provide necessary support for the same.
